In this book, we share some of the powerful and insightful quotations that helped us overcome some of the obstacles we’ve faced in life and as entrepreneurs. Which helped us adjust our mindset and attitude about the task at hand and was the catalyst to what pushed us through to the successes we have today. We’ve also included some bonus excerpts from us personally that we’ve said during some of our talks that audiences have found to be powerful.

Interview with Inspired by BLUE authors Tyson Moultrie and A. L. Roberts

When did you realize you had a book (or some books) inside you?

It was less about having a book inside of me and more about challenging myself to begin down the path of authoring and expressing my take on motivation, lifestyle, entrepreneurship and business in non-verbal methods. So, by accepting the challenge the manifestation of 3 books came the first being “Inspired by BLUE: Daily Motivational Verses to Inspire You & Improve Your Life, the second covering socialpreneurship and the third the effort it takes to manifest success from the visionBook Cover BLUE you have. So, I definitely look forward to releasing the others.

Why is the theme of this project important?

Inspiration and motivation are important in life and in business specifically, the book, “Inspired by BLUE: Daily Motivational Verses to Inspire You & Improve Your Life” was developed because the inspiration and motivation that we interpreted from the excerpts that support our foreword is what helped keep us, my business partner and co-author, A.L. Roberts, on track even when it seemed the light at the end of the tunnel appeared to be an oncoming train. You can never have too much motivation or inspiration.

What did you learn about yourself while writing this book?

I learned, or rather reaffirmed, that while success isn’t inherent or guaranteed the mindset required for it to happen is one that consistently must be shaped and maintained every step through the process. One of the best ways is through reading, digesting and applying inspirational and motivational content whenever possible, can’t stress the applying enough. “Faith without works is dead.”  James 2:14-26

How do you find time to write?

Honestly, it took longer for me to decide to release the book than to write it. It was already kind of written as we had the different excerpts saved so it was really a matter of just organizing them once we realized we had amassed what we thought was enough content.

If you could work on a writing project with anyone (dead or alive), who would it be? Why?

This is a tough question because there are so many, but I guess I’d say Dale Carnegie (deceased) and John C. Maxwell (alive). Dale Carnegie’s “How to Win Friends and Influence People” helped shape my mindset when it comes to people and personal growth via business, while John C. Maxwell was like my Continuing Ed.
