Earlier this year, you released “Sister you ARE More Than Your ASSets”. How is “Womanish” different?

Womanish are stories about adult women and what they overcome. The Ish they survive.

There is so much passion for Black women in your work. How do you balance your care for Black women with the sage advice you so often give?

It is all married. My love and passion for my sisters and my advice, if it is that live together in harmony.

You work full time and, it seems, that you release new projects several times a year. What advice do you have for the aspiring author who seems to have no time to write?

There is no such thing as no time to write. Write while taking a lunch break, on a car trip, early in the morning or late at night. Writers write.

Many of my readers have children headed back to school for the fall but your children are grown. What do empty nesters do to fill  the space of the children living their own lives?

We enjoy our marriages and relationships. We travel, we serve, we volunteer and some Write.
