I plan to have a sizzling summer and here is my bucket list.
For as long as I can remember, I have been in love with summer. When I was a child, I’d spend summers visiting family in various parts of the Southeastern United States. Now, I take summer adventures with my husband and boys.
Over the past two summer breaks, we were beach bums, heading out to Florida beaches early Saturday mornings to enjoy the surf before crowds took all of the coveted locations. We even spent a few weekends venturing out to festivals, campsites, lakes and Orlando area amusement parks. Every other Sunday we’d pull out our bikes and go for long rides near our subdivision.
Recently, we moved to Statesboro–a small town in Georgia roughly an hour’s drive from Savannah. In other words, we are in a vastly different environment, providing us ample opportunities to explore new places and things.
Because this is my summer bucket list, there are things listed to do with the entire family, for dates with the darling husband, and for me to do all by myself–yes, I like time for me.
My Summer Bucket List
- Tour a Vineyard
- Visit Tybee Island
- Spend the day in Savannah (other than going to Target–it’s the closest one to me)
- Pick Berries
- Go to a Stage Play or Concert
- Explore The Center for Wildlife Education at Georgia Southern University
- Hang Out at Splash in The Boro
- Catch a Fish
- Tour a Brewery
- Go on a Dinner Cruise
I have until September 21–the last day of summer–to work through my list. I’m up for the challenge.
