In her debut book, Author Karen Adams struggles to understand how a loving God would allow life to be so unbearable. Facing childhood molestation, years of crack addiction, nervous breakdowns, and admissions to mental wards, she learned that no matter how difficult life was, God continued to extend His love. Trying to Outrun the Love of God, is a deeply moving story of one woman’s journey filled with suffering and pain, but one that ultimately finds wholeness and deliverance in the arms of a loving Savior. Interview with Karen Adams

When did you realize you had a book (or some books) inside you?
When I began to be bombarded with thoughts of I need to write this book about my life.
Why is the theme of this project important?
There are so many hurting people in the body of Christ, who have lost hope.
What did you learn about yourself while writing this book?
I learned that I hadn’t forgiven myself for the abusive treatment of my children when they were very young.
How do you find time to write?
I just made time after work, weekends, on vacation.
If you could work on a writing project with anyone (dead or alive), who would it be? Why?
I would love to write with TD Jakes.  The reason is because his books have been such a blessing to me explaining to me why I acted the way I did at certain intervals in my life.  He is a very motivational writer.
