Several weeks ago, I received a nice package as a perk from Burt’s Bees because I have Klout.
The box included the following items from Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration: A New Face Care Line with Clary Sage (the links below are Amazon affiliate links):
Packaging: In step with the Burt Bee’s brand, the packaging is simple but cute.
Smell: All three of the products smell wonderful, almost edible.
Texture: Rich and creamy.
As much as I like the packaging, smell and texture of the products, I am always a little leery to stray from my daily skincare regimen. But, since I used Burt’s Bees on my boys I decided to give it a go.
The products delivered on hydration. The problem is that I have very oily skin and rarely suffer from over- drying—remember, I stick to my tried and true skincare products. So, for my skin-type the products used in the recommended manner (Cream Cleanser followed by Night Cream with Treatment Mask a few times a week) made me a little too shiny. So, I made some adjustments:
- Cream Cleanser to remove make up.
- My favorite cleanser for acne prone skin (affiliate link).
- Skip Burt’s Night Cream and use my night cream (no link for this because it is changing at the end of the month), eye cream, etc.
- Use Treatment Mask on Wednesday Nights.
The only product I could not use was the Night Cream. The line is really for people with dry skin. So, if you have dry skin you could probably use the entire line. If you wear makeup everyday like me the Cream Cleanser will work for you and it feels so good going on but I would use some other foaming cleanser to get rid of the oil left behind. That said, I would give these products 4 out of 5 stars.
I was given a free product or sample because I’m a Klout influencer. I am under no obligation to receive the sample or talk about this company. I get no additional benefits for talking about the product or company.
