Monday Meal Tip: Wash Your Reusable Shopping Bags

This week’s meal tip is indirectly related to meal preparation. According to a recent study, there are some potential concerns about the health risks associated to reusable shopping bags. To be on the safe side, be sure to wash reusable shopping bags after each use.

Bonus Tip: Instead of placing raw meat containers directly into reusable shopping bags, use the plastic bags from the produce section as added protection for your bags. Or, simply have all of your meat products placed in plastic bags to reduce the chances of cross contamination.

How do you prevent cross-contamination in your kitchen?
